Eligibility
How do I know whether or not I am eligible to consolidate my student loans?
You are eligible to consolidate your student loans if you are:
Consolidating a minimum of $15,000 in eligible Federal student loans.
Separated from school or attending less than half time.
In a deferment or forbearance (Applies to any loans that have, at any time,
gone into repayment)
In your grace period or active repayment status (cannot be in default)
Previously consolidated but now have another eligible loan(s) separate from
the consolidation or you are not happy with your current pay plans offered.
